Tourtons
These delicious little fritters are a specialty of the Champsaur valley. They can be enjoyed savoury (potato, spinach, goat’s cheese) or sweet (apple, prunes). Cooked on site, they fill the markets with their delicious aroma and whet your appetite. See the recipe
Cheese
Reflecting the local production, the cheeses are varied: Bayard cow’s milk, goat’s and sheep’s blue cheeses, sheep’s tomme with génépy, Queyras cheeses, and the Banon AOC from Laragne are just a few examples.
The Champsaur tart
Sweet pie, flavoured with blueberries, raspberries, prunes, handmade and traditional. A real treat for a dessert during your picnic.
Honey from the Alps
The fresh high alpine air gives our bees enough to produce an extremely tasty honey, of which our beekeepers are very proud. Enjoy the lavender, mountain and larch honey.
Apples and pears
Apple trees, pear trees, peach trees… the Durance valley is full of seasonal fruits, harvested directly from our land.
